Bono Mack Raises $500,000 More Than Ruiz

Rep. Mary Bono Mack, R-Palm Springs, had raised $705,747 as of Jan. 31, and Dr. Raul Ruiz, an emergency medical physician in Rancho Mirage, had raised $205,185, their campaigns stated in reports to the Federal Election Commission.

Rep. Mary Bono Mack, R-Palm Springs, has raised $500,000 more than her Democratic challenger in their contest for the 36th Congressional District, according to campaign finance disclosures filed this week.

The Congresswoman, who represents Palm Desert, had raised $705,747 as of Jan. 31, and Dr. Raul Ruiz, an emergency medical physician in Rancho Mirage, had raised $205,185, their campaigns stated in reports to the Federal Election Commission.

Bono Mack currently represents the 45th Congressional District.

In November, she will seek re-election in the newly-formed 36th Congressional District. A pdf copy of the new 36th District is attached to this report.

Bono Mack received $354,500 from non-party, political action, and other committees, and $290,144 in individual contributions, according to her campaign.

She listed disbursements of $424,516 as of Jan. 31, with $524,119 cash on hand, according to the Federal Election Commission.

Ruiz received $35,100 from non-party, political action, and other committees, and $165,085 in individual contributions, according to his campaign.

He listed disbursements of $26,399 as of Jan. 31, with $178,786 cash on hand, according to the Federal Election Commission.

Paul Servelle, a retired educator from Palm Springs, pulled papers in January to run in the 36th Congressional Distric, according to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

Servelle was listed as a "no party preference" candidate in registrar records.

The Federal Election Commission did have campaign finance disclosures from Servelle.
