Citizenship Workshop Set In Palm Desert

The workshop will include a presentation on citizenship, a practice citizenship test, adjustment of status, information about new immigration laws that affect current and future petitions, and detailed requirements for citizenship.

A workshop to educate legal residents on how to become a U.S. citizen is set for this Saturday in Palm Desert.

The Citizenship Workshop is set at the Palm Desert campus auditorium at the University of California, Riverside on Saturday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

The workshop is being presented by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in cooperation with the office of Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack, R-Palm Springs.

"It is critically important that legal residents are educated and equipped with the information and resources needed in order to become fully informed on issues related to citizenship," Bono Mack said.

Also, Coachella Valley Citizenship and Immigration Service (C-Visa), a nonprofit immigration office, will be present to assist in filling out citizenship applications for free.
