City Offers Energy Saving Program to Palm Desert Residents

One thing you can do to help save money on your energy bill is take advantage of the free in-home energy surveys being offered through 2012.

The following was submitted by the City of Palm Desert:

Palm Desert residents who want to become more energy efficient and save money have a terrific incentive to act now as the City’s Set To Save program enters its final months.

This is the last chance to join thousands of Palm Desert residents who are already saving energy and money with Set To Save.

Pool owners can replace their noisy, old single-speed pool pump with a quiet, new variable speed model for $875 and start saving money immediately. Many residents have already made the switch, and with special Palm Desert-only incentives expiring at the end of 2012, the time to participate in this offer is quickly running out.

Interested pool owners can call 877-811-8700 and take advantage of Set To Save’s One Stop Shop Pool Pump Program today.

The Set To Save program also offers free in-home energy surveys to qualifying Southern California Edison customers until December 31, 2012. The offer applies to all qualifying Palm Desert residents, including Set To Save program participants who had a Set To Save Home Energy Survey more than a year ago. This is an opportunity to reduce energy use and save money during the holiday season and for years to come.

Those who sign up for a free Home Energy Efficiency Survey will get detailed, specific information on things they can do to cut energy costs and maximize savings.

Set To Save programs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while funding lasts. These programs are funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Edison under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Dorothy you actually believe criminals can't get guns without a background check. Wow are youRead More naive. Just because YOU don't understand why some people want a particular weapon...does not mean you can impose your ownership standards on someone else. Suppose I suggest you don't need the particular car you drive or the particlar beverage you drink? I see you are opposed to hunting. How do you feel about abortion? Typical liberal double standard at play here??

Totally agree. This is just the beginning of a gun grab. All it will accomplish is furtherRead More restrictions on law abiding citizens. Chicago is a perfect example. Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
