County Sponsoring Health Expos This Week

Riverside County offering free blood pressure screening at Indio clinic on Friday

The public is invited to health expos at four community health centers throughout Riverside County as part of National Health Center Week, including one scheduled for Indio on Friday.

Visitors will have a chance to learn about the varied services the clinics offer, get a free blood pressure screening, and receive several gifts and nutritious snacks – as long as they both last. The events are organized by the Riverside County Health System, which operates the clinics, and will also include presentations from other agencies, including the County of Riverside Department of Public Health.

"We are delighted to take part in the efforts to improve the health of Riverside County and the clinics are an important part of that mission. Prevention and screening are the most important first steps," said Cameron Kaiser, interim public health officer.
