Early Voting Begins in Palm Desert

Those not wanting to wait for Tuesday's primary election can vote this weekend.

Coachella Valley residents can vote early for the Tuesday primary election starting today in Palm Desert.

Early voting will be available until 4 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
tomorrow and Sunday at Westfield mall, 72-840 Highway 111.

Early voting is to "provide access to voters unable to make it to the
polls on Election Day and those who would like their vote to be counted first
on Election Night. Voters are encouraged to cast their vote as soon as
possible, so their vote can be included in the Election Night results posted
shortly after 8 p.m.,'' according to a statement from the Riverside County
Registrar of Voters.
