Forum To Focus On Impact Of Realignment

State prisoners have been transferred into Riverside County jails as part of AB 109.

Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert, and state Senator Bill Emmerson, R-Riverside, will host a forum on the impact of realignment on Riverside County's prisons next week in Palm Desert.

The forum will focus on the impact of AB 109 on Monday, Nov. 28 at 3:30 p.m. at , according to Nestande.

Other participants include Riverside County's District Attorney Paul Zellerbach, Sheriff Stan Sniff and Probation Department Chief Crogan.

"It is important to Senator Emmerson and myself to be accessible to constituents and focus on the concerns of our residents," Nestande said.  "These meetings are informal and open to issues of importance to our community."
