Traffic Alert: Interstate 10 Closed Overnight
Drivers advised to stay clear of Date Palm Drive/I-10 interchange during nighttime hours
Major work in the Date Palm Drive overpass will require Interstate 10 to be shut down overnight.
According to CHP Officer Joe Zagorski, eastbound 10 will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Westbound 10 will be closed from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday to approximately 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The Date Palm Drive bridge itself will be closed to traffic, to minimize delays to freeway traffic being routed through the off and on ramps. All drivers looking to cross the interstate must use either Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs, or Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage.
If crews are unable to complete the required work tonight and Tuesday night, a freeway closure may occur on Wednesday night from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM to complete any unfinished work.
