Lane Closures Set For Cook Street

The $2.5 million project, which is expected to improve traffic flow and drainage, should be completed by the end of the year.

Road work is expected to continue this week on Cook Street in Palm Desert, with planned lane closures that could back up traffic.

The $2.5 million project is meant to improve drainage and improve traffic flow on Cook Street between Country Club Drive and Hovely Lane East in Palm Desert, according to city spokesman David Hermann.

Lane closures are expected in both directions along Cook Street and motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes, Hermann said.

The project should be completed by the end of 2011, he said.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
