Bono Mack Gets Endorsement from Oceans Group

Ocean Champions stands behind Congresswoman's environmental efforts

Ocean Champions, a non-profit political group that endorses candidates with pro-Ocean stances, has endorsed incumbent Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (R-Palm Springs) for another term in Washington.

"Congresswoman Bono Mack embodies the spirit of the Teddy Roosevelt Republican, hewing to conservative values while supporting land and water conservation and ocean health,” said David Wilmot, Ph.D., Ocean Champions’ President and Co-Founder.

"I am very grateful to have the support of Ocean Champions,” said Congresswoman Bono Mack. “I have always fought for meaningful land, ocean, and wildlife protections for the areas that I represent and for our nation. I look forward to continuing to be a strong advocate for thoughtful environmental policies."

Ocean Champions praised Bono Mack for her push to establish the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, and for her efforts to restore the Salton Sea.

U.S. Asseblywoman Mary Bono Mack is in my opinion, a Liberal Republican @ Best. Read any Biography on U.S. President "Teddy Roosevelt". He would be a Democrat in todays Political enviroment. As a registered Indepedent who reluctantly voted for Mrs. Bono- Mack, I am hopeful someone more Conservative will challenge her @ some point for 45th District. She refuses to advocate for what the MAJORITY of her Constituents want and/or need. Her Chief of Staff Frank Cullen scoffed @ the idea of Tea Party candidate ever being a threat. I for one hope he is incorrect.

This group is extremely insignificant and needs to do more homework. Bono-Mack has a terrible environmental voting recording and her two most significant contributions should be taken with a grain of salt.
She only pushed for establishment of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto National Monument after Bill Clinton was going to create it by Presidential Decree. And her campaign to "restore" the Salton Sea is little more than a very expensive boondoggle for wealthy contributors. The best thing to do with the Salton Sea is to let nature take its course and let it die. If you really want to know about Bono-Mack's environmental record, check out her score with the League of Conservation Voters. http://capwiz.com/lcv/bio/keyvotes/?id=668&congress=1122&lvl=C

Ruiz will not advocate for what the majority wants, he is new to politcs and his "people" have narrow agendas although some are still worthy planks, they are narrow. Platform of his main people- 1 Republicans sre evil (Robert Westwood, delegate to DNC, key Ruiz person, VP of Democrats of the Desert); 2- gay marriage (Greg Rodriguez , a single issue LGBT advocate, delegate to DNC, Stonewall Democrat, self proclaimed Ruiz's "go to guy" who once on behalf of Ruiz , accused all of the democrats in the county of being sneaky because a local party vote didnt go their way) 3- Greg Rodriguez, a Puerto Rican who works with radicals in the Mexican community to foster anti-white feelings, holds "no gringos allowed" Mexican only meetings) Ruiz promoted him from volunteer coordinator to political director.

@B.K.-- Thank you for your help with the community :) I have a great respect for all teachers!

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
