Palm Desert Post Office Extends Hours For Holidays

The United States Postal Service is also allowing holiday shoppers to send their gifts through its website.

The Palm Desert Post Office on Hovely Lane will offer extended holiday hours, starting next week.

The Post Office, which is located at 74801 Hovley Lane west of Cook Street, will be open longer on: 

Thursday, Dec. 15 Saturday, Dec. 17 Sunday, Dec. 18 Monday, Dec. 19 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Those who do not wish to brave the lines can do holiday mailing online at usps.com/click-n-ship. Residents can log on to www.usps.com/pickup/ to schedule free package pickup right from a home or office, according to Eva Jackson, a spokesperson for the United States Postal Service.

There are five retail locations that sell stamps and offer other postal services in the Palm Desert ZIP Code area 92260, she said. To find the locations, go to www.usps.com and click on “Locate a Post Office” or call 800-ASK-USPS.
