Seven candidates are now vying for three seats on the Palm Desert City Council.
Palm Desert City Clerk Rachelle Klassen says the the Riverside County Clerk's Office has certified the signatures for the following seven candidates. Each of the three city Council seats is for a four year term.
Candidates are (in alphabetical order):
- Bill Kroonen*
- Ron Moers
- Bob Speigel*
- Van Tanner
- Susan Marie Weber
- Aurora Wilson
- Terry Wood
* current city council member
City Council member Cindy Finerty dropped out of the race after drawing out re-election papers. Kenneth Doran also took out candidacy papers, but did not return them.
