TRAFFIC ALERT: Fred Waring at San Pascual

Major backups possible on Wednesday as new traffic signals are installed

A popular Palm Desert intersection will be a stop-and-go on Wednesday as new traffic lights are being installed.  

According to City Spokesman David Hermann, existing traffic signals at Fred Waring Drive and San Pascual Avenue will be removed and new signals installed to allow through traffic on San Pascual. 

Four-way stop signs will be in place to control traffic and intermittent lane closures are expected throughout the work on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.

Drivers heading through the intersection near City Hall may experience delays. Travellers are advised to consider alternate routes or allow extra time.
