Aztecs Ready for Undefeated Palm Springs

This huge mid-season DVL clash may decide the league title, and will be webcast by Fox.

's football team is set to hit the big screen -- or however big your computer monitor is.

Friday’s Desert Valley League football clash between the Aztecs and undefeated Palm Springs will be webcast via Fox Sports West, as part of their prep sports coverage.

The Aztecs/Indians game is one of four in Southern California to be webcast this week by Fox.

Palm Desert (4-2 overall, 2-0 DVL) travels to Ralph Watt Stadium to face CIF #2 ranked Palm Springs (7-0, 2-0) in what could be the battle for the DVL crown. Palm Springs edged Palm Desert 14-7 in the season opening Mercury Bowl earlier this season.

That was the only game in which Palm Springs failed to score at least 43 points.

Don’t be thinking the defending DVL champion Indians are just an offensive power. Palm Springs hasn’t allowed a point in their last three games, though you can argue that Twentynine Palms, Indio and Coachella Valley aren’t having strong seasons themselves.

Palm Desert has been posting big numbers as well; scoring over 50 points in four of their last five games.

Something has to give; either the Aztec offense, or the Palm Springs defense.

Kickoff in Palm Springs is scheduled for 7 p.m.
