CSUSB Palm Desert Students to Receive College Degrees This Week

The following is a news release from CSUSB Palm Desert:

A group of 180 students from California State University, San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus will graduate during the campus’s annual commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 12, at The Show at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage.

 

The 24th annual ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.

This year’s candidates, many of whom are first-generation college students, include undergraduate and graduate students.

The graduates will be joined by university administrators, faculty, California State University Trustees and community leaders.

 

Special awards will be given to Amanda Harrison for Outstanding Undergraduate Student and Joseph Boffa for Outstanding Graduate Student. Harrison, who lives in Morongo Valley, will receive her bachelor’s degree in biological psychology and is graduating magna cum laude, or with high honors. Boffa, who lives in Cathedral City, is a teacher with the Coachella Valley Unified School District and will receive his doctorate degree in educational leadership. Both will speak at the ceremony.

 

Also this year, the first graduates from the doctorate in educational leadership program will receive their degree.
