ZAPPED BY THE GODS? Understanding Human Suffering through the Ages. This is a five-session discussion and reading course using materials designed for the University of San Francisco philosophy department.
The course will look at how various peoples throughout the ages understood the reality of suffering. We begin with the Greeks and end with a discussion of suffering in today’s world.
Zapped by the Gods? will meet on five Tuesday nights beginning Tuesday, February 28th at 6 p.m. in the Administration building (Church Office) of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church (corner of Haystack and Hwy 74 in Palm Desert) with a soup and salad supper. All are invited to participate and bring friends.
