Healthcare jobs focus of CSUSB Palm Desert meeting

Jobs increasing in demand in the health care industry include medical transportation, medical coding and billing, pharmacy technicians, and medical administrative assistants.

will host an information session about the training the university offers for careers in the growing healthcare industry.

The session will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. in the Mary Stuart Rogers Gateway Building – Room RG 303, according to university spokesman Mike Singer.

The programs offered at CSUSB provide the opportunity to those in the community to quickly gain the education they need to qualify for these jobs.

“These information sessions are designed to help people discover growing career fields that they can train for quickly,” said Steve McAdams, Program Administrator in the College of Extended Learning at CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus.
