Lecture To Focus On State Of Senior Health In The Valley

The talk is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cal State San Bernardino's Palm Desert Campus.

Glen Grayman, president of a group that produced the 2010 Community Health Monitor report, will present the state of health of local seniors at a lecture Saturday at .

The lecture is set for 2 p.m. at the Oliphant Auditorium.

Grayman, who heads the Health Assessment Resource Center, will address how the current economic climate has impacted seniors, according to Mike Singer, a spokesman for the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus.

He is the executive-in-residence at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus and practiced as an emergency physician in the western Coachella Valley for more than 25 years. He was the medical director of the Richards Emergency/Trauma Center at Desert Regional Medical Center, Singer said.

Grayman has served on the boards of several local organizations, including the Riverside County Medical Association and the county chapter of the American Heart Association. He was the medical adviser of the Palm Springs Fire Department and the medical director of the Cathedral City Fire Department, according to Singer.
