NBA Legend Magic Johnson Speaking at Local School Fundraiser

NBA legend Magic Johnson will speak at Desert Christian Academy's annual gala on March 29, the school announced Monday.

The gala at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, which includes an auction, is the primary fundraiser for the school, according to school spokeswoman Tara Bravo.

"It has been a dream of mine, as a Laker fan and a Magic fan, to have Mr. Johnson come and be our keynote speaker," said Dave Fulton, the school's founder.
