Students Clean Up At Robotics Competition

The next stop for the students is the Global Conference on Education Robotics in Hawaii from July 18-22.

Robotics students from Palm Desert took home several awards at the San Diego Regional Tournament at the University of San Diego this past weekend.

Students from and were awarded with third and seventh place overall, second place seeding, Judges Choice Award for robot design, and the United States Air Force Excellence in Innovation Award, according to PDCMS robotics teacher Reggie Clark.

The next stop for the students is the Global Conference on Education Robotics in Hawaii from July 18-22, Clark said.

The students included:

  • Team 32 - Hank Eylicio (PDHS), Mason Taylor, Dakota Johnson, Angelo Camaro, Ernie Folie
  • Team 33 - Grant Swajian, Augistine Noriega, Evan Friedman, Jarod DeLange
  • Team 34 - Cassie Bija, Kyle Okamoto, Adam Wojnar, Jagdeep Deol, Luke Gilpatrick, Raxel Martinez, with 9th grade Mentor Max Sterlieb from Palm Desert High School
  • Team 35 - Nick Bozick, Jacob Gilbert, Jonah Eadie, Zack Nelson, Itender Badesha

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
