Popular Professor To Give Last Lecture On 2012 Election

Dr. William A. Gudelunas is set to retire from the College of the Desert at the end of the year.

A College of the Desert professor set to retire at the end of the year will give his final lecture next week on the 2012 election.

“The History of American Political Parties and Its Implications for the Presidential Election of 2012” is set for Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Pollock Theatre on the .

Chester State College, an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Lehigh University. He has taught at

Lehigh, Pennsylvania State University, and Alvernia College, where he was head of the Social Science Department as well as an associate professor in history. In addition to his current position since 1990 as Professor of Political Science and American History at College of the Desert, he is also an adjunct lecturer in history at California State University, San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus (CSUSB).
