Valley School Looking For Families To Host International Students

Last year, students came to the Coachella Valley from China, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Kingdom of Tonga, the Czech Republic, Thailand and Korea.

The Marywood Palm Valley School put out a plea for Coachella families willing to host international students for five to 10 months.

The students expected to participate in the program will be between 15 and 18 years old, studied English for a minimum of three years and have medical insurance, according to Madeline Zuckerman, a spokeswoman for the Rancho Mirage-based school.

According to Zuckerman, families do no need to have a child attending MWPV, but they must be willing to make arrangements to get the student to the campus and back.
