The Palm Desert High School baseball and boy’s tennis teams were honored Thursday for their victories during the 2011 season.
The baseball team, which had a 28-5 record, was at Dodger Stadium.
Aztec tennis top seeded Santa Monica for the CIF title.
“You’re helping our youth tremendously,’’ said PDHS Athletic Director Darol Salazar told council members at a Thursday meeting.
Councilwoman Jan Harnik presented Salazar with two plaques to honor the teams.
