The Desert Recreation District (DRD) is looking for instructors to help deliver and expand the recreational programs and classes offered throughout the Coachella Valley. Many classes currently offered by DRD are taught by local expert instructors. This has allowed DRD to offer an extensive array of programs and classes appealing to many different interests and skills.
Local residents can apply to teach a class at one of the Desert Recreation District’s Community Centers. DRD is holding an Instructor Recruitment Fair where potential instructors can learn about the process and benefits of becoming a DRD instructor.
DRD is interested in expanding existing programs and will consider all instructors and classes proposed. Those interested in joining the team are encouraged to come to DRD’s Instructor Recruitment Fair at the Palm Desert Community Center on Saturday, May 17th, between 1 and 3 p.m.
Potential instructors should bring their resume, information on any applicable certifications and a completed Program Proposal Form, which can be downloaded from DRD’s website: MyRecreationDistrict.com.
The Palm Desert Community Center is located at 43-900 San Pablo Avenue, Palm Desert.
