As part of the Jr. Trail Guides Explorer Program youngsters can learn how to hike safely and leave no trace behind on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center, 51-500 Hwy 74, Palm Desert, CA.
