La Quinta's Anthony Kim Returns For Golf Tourney

Kim has played at the tournament twice before, as a rookie in 2007 and in 2008, when he shot five rounds in the 60s and tied for third.

La Quinta High School graduate Anthony Kim will join Phil Mickelson and World Golf Hall of Famer Greg Norman at the Humana Challenge later this month.

Musicians Smokey Robinson and Alice Cooper and basketball Hall of Famer Julius Erving have also joined the field at the Coachella Valley’s annual PGA TOUR golf tournament Jan. 16-22, which was formerly known as the Bob Hope Classic.

“Adding Anthony to our field is a terrific boost with less than a week to go before we open the gates, as we know there is a tremendous amount of interest in him due to his ties to the Coachella Valley,” Humana Challenge Tournament Chairman Larry Thiel said.
