A Palm Desert country club is gearing up to host its third annual Memorial Day golf tournament for Marines.
More than 30 Marines from the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms will participate in the tournament on Monday at Oasis Country Club.
They will be treated to lunch and a round of golf, which pairs two Marines with two country club members, club spokeswoman Kristy Kneiding said.
"The Oasis Country Club hosts the tournament as a way to pay tribute to the Marines for their service and sacrifices for our country," she said.
