Former Palm Desert Aztec James Dockery is now looking for a new NFL gig.
The standout cornerback from Palm Desert High and Oregon State was released toady by the Cleveland Browns, as they made the final cuts from the pre-season roster.
All NFL teams made cuts today to get their rosters to the final 53-man limit.
Dockery, heading into his second NFL season, was listed as third at right cornerback on the Browns' depth chart.
He acknowledged an outpouring of support on his twitter account (@JamesDockery31) saying:
Appreciate the love! I may be down today but I will make plays this year just wait and see! #UnderDogNation#StayPrayedUp
Dockery signed with the Browns in 2011 as an undrafted free agent. He played in 12 games with Cleveland in his rookie season, making 2 solo tackles and adding 3 assists.
