Palm Desert Swim Team Places 3rd in Redlands Regional Championship

The Palm Desert Swim Club (PDSC) recently took home 3rd place in the Southern California Eastern Committee Championships.

The Palm Desert Swim Club (PDSC) is celebrating a big win, after taking home third place in a recent regional championship competition, according to team parents.

The team, which is just over a year old, already has more than 100 team members-- 56 of which competed in the event.

The 2013 Super JO Max Eastern Committee Championship was hosted by the Redlands Swim Team and and Southern California Swimming at East Valley High School on Feb. 9 and 10.

Nearly 600 swimmers competed in the event.  Of the 56 that competed from PDSC, boys and girls aged 7-17 took part.

Noteworthy relay race results include:

 
1st place: Girls 7-10 200 free relay
2nd place Boys 5-8 100 free relay
2nd place Boys 11-12 200 medley relay
3rd place Boys 11-12 200 free relay

Swim team practices for the Palm Desert team are held Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., at the Palm Desert Aquatics Center, 73751 Magnesia Falls Drive.
