PD Baseball Tops CIF Polls -- Again
Palm Desert still atop the latest CIF-SS Division 4 rankings; other Desert schools make top 10.
The Palm Desert high baseball team remains at the top of the latest CIF-Southern Section Division 4 baseball rankings, where they have been all season. The poll, released Monday, has Indio High in the #3 slot.
The Aztecs (9-5 overall, 4-0 Desert Valley League) are off to a fast start in the DVL, with Junior Brian Serven hitting a cool .405 and senior catcher John Schuknecht batting .372 as the team settles in for league play.
Senior Brooks Kriske is again leading the Palm Desert hurlers, his 2-3 record hiding the hard luck he’s suffered while posting an ERA of 0.71.
