ROAD TO BRASIL 2014: U.S. Soccer Supporters Want Coachella Valley Chapter of American Outlaws

Coachella Valley supporters of the U.S. men's national team plan to meet Friday in La Quinta to pull for the Yanks in a key road World Cup qualifier in Estadio Nacional, San Jose, Costa Rica.

Rob Amick, Hugh Van Horn, Steve Kipple, Andrew Wardwell, Steve Biller, and Scott Birch have invited others to join them at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at Beer Hunter Sports Pub, 78-483 Hwy 111, La Quinta, where the Costa Rica-U.S. match is expected to air live on beIN Sport.

They also plan to meet again Tuesday Sept. 10 to pull for the U.S. versus Mexico in Columbus, Ohio, another key qualifier to reach the 2014 World Cup in Brasil.

Amick, Van Horn, Kipple, Wardwell, Biller and Birch want to recruit like-minded people to form an American Outlaws chapter in the Coachella Valley.

"Tomorrow is our first AO event," Biller said Thursday. "We'll sign up the req 25 members to become an official chapter: AO Desert Brigade."

Twenty people have committed to being at Beer Hunter La Quinta for the Sept. 6 event, according to an organizers' Facebook event page, U.S. Men vs. Costa Rica World Cup Qualifier.
