Tennis Stars Returning To Indian Wells

The BNP Paribas Open is set for March 5-18 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and continues to feature the sport's top talent.

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will be among the world's top tennis players at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells this spring.

Top women's players, including Caroline Wozniacki and two-time Indian Wells champion Kim Clijsters, are also slated to compete.

Overall, 11 former BNP Paribas Open champions and 14 Grand Slam
champions have entered, according to Steve Simon, tournament director.

The tourmanment's total purse of over $11 million is the largest in pro tennis history, with the men's and women's singles champions each taking home over $1 million.

Top local players will be taking part in the tournament's qualifying rounds on March 5-7, with 48 players vying for 12 spots in the main draw.
