VillageFest, in its 22nd year, includes more than 200 booths with art, crafts and food.

Palm Springs' weekly street festival will begin its summer hours on Thursday, June 6, starting at 7 p.m. instead of 6 p.m., a city spokeswoman said Monday.

The festival, every Thursday evening on Palm Canyon Drive between Baristo and Amado roads, will start an hour later, city spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell said.

The event ends at 10 p.m. year-round.

VillageFest, in its 22nd year, includes more than 200 booths with art, crafts and food. Shops, galleries and restaurants stay open late during VillageFest, Blaisdell said.
