UCR's 'Lit Flicks' Film Series Showing 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof'

Free showing will allow opportunity to compare the book and the film

UC Riverside's Palm Desert Campus will be hosting the film Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. as part of its "Lit Flicks Summer Movie Series".

A discussion will be held following the film to let viewers and decide what was done great, what they left out, and what you couldn't believe they changed. 

Based on the 1955 play by Tennessee Williams, the Oscar nominated film revolves around Brick, an alcoholic involved in a strained marriage to Maggie, and his father Big Daddy. The twisted relationship of Maggie and Brick unfolds as Maggie torments her husband with his past while trying help him become sober. Starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman.  This film is Rated PG.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
