I never thought the day would come when I felt there might be too many events happening in the valley at the same time.
As a media person I receive press material daily informing me of what is happening throughout the valley. In turn it is my job to inform my listeners of things to do, and places to go, free or otherwise. With the season in full swing during a one week time frame there is something (sometimes more than two) events happening each day. From fund raisers, opening parties, book signings, art walks, mixers, and more.
A few years ago I was originally thrilled about the desert being such a lively place putting a stop to the comment from visitors and locals, "There's nothing to do!" Now with so many things happening I'm hearing just the opposite, "I'm tired and just want to stay home this weekend."
Let's not forget the costs, not everything is free and all of this going out can be very pricey. So what do you think? Too much or not enough?
