The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands, Please GO!

Opening to the public on March 1, 2012, this a rare peek inside a world few of us will ever experience, yet for a few fleeting hours, I was one of the dignitaries that passed through the door.

Today I was one of the lucky few to pre-tour the Annenberg Estate in Rancho Mirage.  Opening to the public on March 1, 2012, this a rare peek inside a world few of us will ever experience, yet for a few fleeting hours, I was one of the dignitaries that passed through the door.

Envisioning grandeur and the unspoken word of "Don't sit there" on custom pieces, this is NOT how the Annenbergs lived. I found the estate to be elegant, yet designed for using and enjoying every room of the house. Take away the amazing art work, and the knowledge of the Presidents, Queens and celebrities who were house guests, and you have a beautiful home with picture windows everywhere, and a comfort level not many would imagine.

The tour is magical, the 'Memories Room'  alone is worth the ticket price.  Don't forget to have lunch at the Cafe' and enjoy the spectacular mountain views radiating from the Centers floor to ceiling windows...If you don't stop and stare in awww, then go outside of the Center and walk back in....you'll get it...

What a life the Annenbergs must have lived, and I want to personally thank them for all they have given back to the world....and that is a lot!!!!
