LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Integrated Learning Institute Needs Your Help

The Integrated Learning Institute get to keep 100 percent of the money raised from tickets sales and its students have been selling tickets for a few weeks.

Dear friends of ILI,

The annual Tour de Palm Springs (TDPS)is next week, Feb. 10 and 11.  The tour benefits over 100 nonprofits here in our valley. The Integrated Learning Institute is a registered charity with the TDPS for the third year. We are required to volunteer to help conduct the event in order to benefit from the ride.  Another way we can earn money from this event is to sell raffle tickets.  We get to keep 100 percent of the money we raise from tickets sales. Our students have been selling tickets for a few weeks.

The last day to sell tickets is TODAY!  If you have not been contacted by one of our students please consider ordering tickets today. I will pay for your tickets and you can send the money next week. I will also make sure your tickets are filled in properly  so be sure to include your phone number with your order. I need to put your phone number, name, and email address on each ticket. If we pull your ticket you will get a phone call right then. Of course, you do not need to be present to win!

Tickets are $1.00 each. The raffle items will be given away on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the TDPS site on Palm Canyon. I will actually be conducting the raffle this year. Check out the website www.tourdepalmsprings.com  to see some of the raffle prizes. There is a beautiful ring worth almost $6,000 that was made especially for this raffle, a limited edition bike, tickets to many events, dinners at nice places and at least 70 more things that are not on the list that will be donated by vendors on the day of the raffle.

Want to ride in the tour?  You can register online for one of five routes.  If you register before Feb. 7, and write ILI as your code for a charity we will also receive your registration money. This is a great event for families with kids on tricycles all the way up to the folks who ride the century ride, a 100 mile tour of the entire valley.

Want to volunteer? I need three more people to work at a stop-and-go site at Lowe’s on Monterey and folks to help sell tickets at the event.

Have a blessed day and thanks in advance for your ticket order!

For the kids’ sake,

Cynthia Moses M.Ed., P.C.E.T.
