Palm Desert Students Volunteer To Help Animals

The entire preschool and elementary school took a field trip on Friday, Jan. 27 to the shelter.

Students at The Academy at Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church are in the midst of a four-week campaign to benefit animals at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

The entire preschool and elementary school took a field trip on Friday, Jan. 27 to the shelter, according to Tina Maize, an admissions officer at The Academy.

Students have been encouraged to bring an item for the shelter each week:

Week #1: Canned or dry food and treats for a dog or cat.

Week #2: Dog or cat play-toys.

Week #3: Clean, spare towels or blankets.

Week #4: Monetary donations.
