SNOW LINE PHOTOS: White Stuff in Forest Falls, Ice at Lake Fulmor

Icy roads and snow levels around 6,000 feet were evident Sunday morning from Mill Creek Canyon to the San Gorgonio Wilderness north of Banning and above Lake Fulmor in the San Jacinto Mountains.

Morning temps included 19 degrees at Angelus Oaks in the San Bernardino Mountains and 21 at Pine Cove in the San Jacintos, according to the National Weather Service. At 7 a.m. Dec. 8 it was 32 at March Air Reserve Base.

There was no snow Sunday morning in the Silver Fire burn area near Poppet Flats Road and Highway 243.

As of 11 a.m. it was 35 degrees Fahrenheit at the Palm Springs Aerial Tram's mountain station, where maximum wind gusts measured so far Sunday were around 45 mph.

With more wind and chill expected Sunday night, a frost advisory and a high wind watch were issued for the San Gorgonio Pass from 10 p.m. Dec. 8 to 9 a.m. Dec. 9. Overnight lows near 32 were expected in Beaumont and Banning.

In the Coachella Valley, overnight lows for Sunday into Monday were expected in the mid-30s for areas including Palm Desert and Indian Wells.
