VIDEO: Strong Winds Expected Thursday Night thru Sunday Morning

A wind advisory has been issued for Thursday night to Sunday morning, when Santa Ana conditions may be evident in the Coachella Valley and other parts of Southern California.

"Periods of strong and gusty onshore winds in the mountains and on desert slopes tonight through Sunday morning," the National Weather Service advised Nov. 14.

Included in the forecast are the Coachella Valley and the mountains of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Blowing dust and sand may reduce visibility to one mile or less at times in desert areas, according to the Weather Service. Winds up to 35 miles per hour are expected in some locations.
