More than 2,500 people are expected to attend the event Saturday, which supports care for animals and their habitats, and scholarship programs for students.

More than 50 restaurants and brewers are on tap to participate in this weekend's fifth annual "Brew at the Zoo" at The Living Desert.

More than 2,500 people are expected to attend the event, which supports care for animals and their habitats, and scholarship programs for students. Attendees will sample craft beer, wine, specialty liquors and food from local restaurants while listening to live music and viewing animals. New this year will be a karaoke lounge, a photo booth and games, according to the zoo.

The Living Desert Big Cat Brew, created last year with the Coachella Valley Brewing Company, will be served again this year. The beer is made with agave nectar and sage from the park.
