Form and Figure Exhibition this Saturday at Melissa Morgan Fine Art on El Paseo

The curators at Melissa Morgan Fine Art gallery are planning a Form and Figure exhibition that opens this Saturday on El Paseo in Palm Desert, an event representative announced.

The exhibition opening is scheduled 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 at 73-040 El Paseo.

Here's more info from Melissa Morgan Fine Art:

The exhibition will focus on the human figure in various mediums and levels of
abstraction. It will contrast the levels between the figure's being used as a blank
psychological canvas to the figure as subjective form of beauty.

In art, with the human
body as conductor, there is never a more visceral form to explore the human psyche.

Featured in this exhibition will be iconic Canadian sculptor David Robinson (bronze
and mixed media sculpture) in this his first major show in the United States. Robinson, whose works are exhibited in multiple museums and public settings world wide, will be in attendance.

Others artists showcased in the show are William Catling (bronze and ceramic
sculpture), Wanxin Zhang (ceramic sculpture), Markus Schaller (hand-forged steel sculpture), Chuck Close (woven tapestry), Deborah Oropallo (acrylic, photo-montage, and mix media) Devorah Sperber (mixed media) Marianne Kolb (mixed media on canvas), DJ Hall (oil on canvas), Eric Zener (mixed media) and Catherine Woskow (acrylic and graphite).
