I love this! We should do more & more & even MORE freebies for our military! Honoring themRead More is something everyone should be happy to do....:) wish I could do more.

Stan, being a SGV person, are you saying they no longer have the art festival in Laguna or it's notRead More what it used to be? Who is the anti-art brigade and why would they do such a thing?

Palm Springs is actually #2. Tijuana is #1 with the very best day glow paintings on velvet. NowRead More that's 'cool.'

headline should read...'palm springs beats out san francisco, west hollywood and laguna beach as theRead More gayest city in california'

OMG!!! Really? This event is not until APRIL 2015, a little over 10 months away. I am a countryRead More western fan, but I mean, come on. Isn't this just a bit too early? No wonder it is sold out months before the dates. After that, the only way to get tickets is to win them on the radio.

This is fun but fairly expensive, for the kids to do all the activities is 22 per kid, so fam of 4Read More (Parents and 2 kids) is 80 bucks. The robotic dinosaurs are very realistic and neat. I would recommend starting early and coming back throughout the day if your local. The AC is cranked and bounce houses are plenty.

I almost feel like crying when I hear of stories like this.

As I stated in my disappearing posts, I agree with some of ATC's concerns, but not the tone, this isRead More hardly the decline and fall of civilization, any more than rock and roll was for our grandparents. Pro wrestling is a silly form of entertainment, "Jered" getting rich for losing weight eating Subway turkey sandwiches is silly, lots of people get rich and famous in ridiculous ways in our culture, and here's a family and a tv show producer chasing wealth and fame by making it a contest to get attention. Lots of people have been doing that for a long time, attention seeking behavior existed since who-knows-when, and lots of adults have used or driven their children to gain access to fame. Is it healthy? I doubt it, even when there's real talent involved. Like most I'll wager this family will survive the experience and find conventional ways to live, if not, it is sad, but the bright lights have been burning people for a long time, so unless you shun Hollywood, Broadway, Pro sports, TV, and much of the Internet, you're probably part of that "problem" of attention-seeking behavior. I'm not saying they should do it, but I can wish them well anyway.

Humans are weird. Profane and noble, silly and concerned....capable of great works of art and musicRead More and gentleness, AND creators of sex tapes, facebook drama, and war....Sometimes it's a relief to find something that makes you smile and feel good, put your feet up, shut up and listen to the world....

FREE would have been a better idea, at least for active military for this one day.
SummerBreeze May 25, 2014 at 02:48 am
Not really sure how this cut in cost is being funded, but you would think that between the zoo, andRead More it's business and media partners, it would be free for ONE day to both active and inactive military, since so many residents ARE past military.

And Bailey is glad to know that there is room for more talent. Goldenvoice's Indio lease is onliestRead More good for another 17 years. :)

Fact is some people give up parenting after a certain age. I always kept my kid busy, instead ofRead More becoming a mall rat. Now, it's the same thing, but as an adult he is responsible for his own actions. There is no perfect world, and wherever you live, there is always politics, so why not pick a place where your family can be happy. I love most parts of the desert, and my son is a part-time musician. Perhaps with dreams to play on one of those stages one day, and for sure to attend as a spectator. There are MANY festivals in the area, and he loves off-roading (not doping) in the desert. So, if you are going to pick a place to live, you might as well find one that interests all of your family. We are ALL going to leave these kids with a massive debt, anyway, so you might as well leave them with a place they love. :)

Good riddance to the Koachella Kidz....the promoter, Golden Voice, still cares not for the thousandsRead More of residents in surrounding areas.

I was at Walmart Friday morning, and I couldn't believe the number of Coachella Fest young folksRead More there buying as much booze as they could carry. I didn't realize they allowed alcohol in the venue. Take thousands of young folks, mix in booze and illegal drugs, and that's a recipe for disaster.
