DENNIS DAILY has been a life-long journalist. He started his career in the mid 1960s in southern Indiana, eventually moving to Washington, DC, at age 30. During 20 years in the nation's capital, Dennis wore a variety of hats, including: serving as an early producer for "The Larry King Show," when the program was on radio and few knew who Larry was; working as a Congressional Press Secretary on Capitol Hill in Washington, then traveling the country as a spokesman for the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. For two decades Dennis was a network hourly newscaster and on-the-road feature reporter for UPI (United Press International). During this time, he wrote and voiced more than 100,000 live news programs and feature reports. More than 100 of his "Charles Kuralt-type" broadcasts have been edited and placed on youtube.com, on the Internet. Dennis also worked in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and in California's San Joaquin Valley. He is currently semi-retired, living in Palm Springs, devoting much of his time to reporting on the heritage and changing local scene of the Coachella Valley. Additionally, he is a worldclass whistler and writes a national Bingo-related column for widely distributed gaming news publication.He is also a collector of "Old Time Radio" shows and does a weekly one-hour Internet-based broadcast on the topic.
